Fact Check: FAKE Video Shows Driver Supposedly Getting Flat Tire After Running Over Trump 2024 Yard Sign -- It's Comedy Sketch Comedy Sketch

Does a viral video show a driver actually getting a flat tire after deliberately running over a Trump 2024 yard sign? No, that's not true: This video is a comedy sketch by someone who labels themselves a video creator on their YouTube channel. The "About" section of their channel also mentions how many TV shows their videos have appeared on.

The claim appeared in a post on Instagram (archived here) on October 6, 2024. The caption read:

Karma😂😂

This is what the Instagram post looked like at the time of writing:

The video shows a man and a woman in a car. The man says, "This is gonna be great"; the woman says, "This is so ridiculous." The man reverses his car, apparently to hit a Trump/Vance 2024 yard sign. After hitting the sign, he gets out of the car to investigate a thumping noise and appears to discover his tire has picked up a piece of wood with nails in it. He now has a flat tire. The man gets visibly angry, and the video ends.

A TikTok watermark on the claim reads, "phillyoffensive23." The TikTok page for @phillyoffensive23 (archived here), refers to a YouTube link (archived here) that goes to "The Philly Offensive" page on that platform. The YouTube "About" section says that this person is a content creator and their content had been featured on numerous television shows:

I create videos of situations that annoy me and many others. My videos have been featured on MTV's show Ridiculousness (2 times) A&E's series Neighborhood wars, H3H3, Dr. drew's show,Netflix series Bad sports, ESPN, Right this minute.

The post on Instagram where the claim appeared does not indicate to its viewers that it's not an authentic video. The clip was being shared elsewhere without any indications of it being a sketch, as can be seen here, here and here.
