Fact Check: HUD Headquarters TV Monitors DID Show Trump Licking Elon Musk's Feet In AI Video Hacked TV

Did TV monitors inside the HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development) headquarters show a loop of an AI-generated video of President Trump licking the feet of Elon Musk for several minutes on February 24, 2025? Yes, that's true: HUD Secretary Scott Turner acknowledged the incident and vowed to fire whoever was responsible for the hack. A major clue the video was created with artificial intelligence is that Musk has two left feet.

Video of the HUD hack appeared in several viral posts on X.com, including a post (archived here) on Brian Krassenstein's timeline posted at 7:33 a.m., February 24, 2025, which was captioned:

WOW! This actually just happened! The Monitors were just hacked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to display an AI video of Trump licking Elon Musk's toes. The caption over it read: "LONG LIVE THE REAL KING."

This is what the post looked like on X at the time of writing:

An X.com post by the Democrats on the House Committee on Financial Services suggested whoever hacked the HUD monitors was a hero:

HUD Secretary Scott Turner replied in an X.com post that the hacker was no hero:

Turner also replied to a post calling for an investigation of the incident and firing of the person responsible by saying "That's the plan!"

HUD Spokesperson Kasey Lovett replied to Lead Stories' request for comment on the incident with this:

Another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources. Appropriate action will be taken for all involved.

While Lead Stories cannot verify the origins of the video, it has been shared previously on social media. The video shows Musk with two left feet, which is an immediate giveaway that it was created by artificial intelligence.
