Fact Check: Image Does NOT Show Gal Gadot's Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Destroyed -- No Reports It Happened Trump's Star

Does a picture show a destroyed star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that was dedicated to actress Gal Gadot? No, that's not true: The image shows the star for President Donald Trump shortly after it was destroyed in 2018. As of this writing there have been no news reports about Gadot's recently unveiled star being destroyed.

An example of the image appeared in a post on X (archived here) published on March 19 with the comment:

So they 'freed Palestine' by ruining Gal Gadot's star.

Once again, they show us the culture of hatred and destruction they represent.

The photo has been online since July 25, 2018 when it appeared in a tweet by Ryan Parker (archived here) who captioned it at the time as:

Donald Trump's star completely destroyed along the Hollywood walk of fame.

At the time this news was also reported by The Hollywood Reporter (archived here).

Gadot's star was only unveiled on March 18, 2025 as Variety reported (archived here):

Gal Gadot's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony Tuesday was disrupted by sign-carrying demonstrators on both the pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel sides.

Several dozen protesters showed up just before the ceremony was due to get underway, with the pro-Palestinian protesters holding signs that read "Heros Fight Like Palestinians," "Viva Viva Palestina" and "No Other Land Won Oscar."

Lead Stories searched for stories mentioning "Gal Gadot", "star", "hollywood", "walk of fame" and "destroyed" on Google News and no news stories were returned (archived here) mentioning such destruction as having taken place since the ceremony.
